Receiving First Holy Communion

Receiving Jesus for the very first time in First Holy Communion is one of the most special of days to be remembered by a child. This experience is filled with excitement, joy and awe. After many weeks of preparation, children are now ready to meet Jesus with an open heart, a pure soul, and a sound body.

To make this special day even more memorable, special clothing is worn. For girls, the dress is usually white to symbolize purity and a veil is attached to a headdress.
